(Art) Fly on the Wall

In the midst of redoing my room, all I'm digging is photographs of beaches and pools, and vintage flags. Not to mention some killer mirrors. One King Lane's is the bomb.com if you weren't aware. For someone who loves a handful of vintage (and new) mirrors, OKL is my site of choice. Along with a great mirror, great artwork also comes in handy, if I don't say so myself.

Gray Malin and Slim Aarons? Double check. American flag? Why not add another one to the collection. White animal head? I mean, c'mon.

An unique mix, sure, but I know I'm covered thanks to the Kings of OKL- pun intended. Bow down.

Last year, I gave you guys a virtual glance inside my bedroom. Since then, my decor has changed drastically. I always had this idea in my mind that a room should look like a hotel but as my personal style has grown so has my view of what my room should be.

The feel of my room is much quirkier than my style; I love having personality exude through my decor choices. Over the past couple of months, I've been adding unique touches like the American flags- #murica- as well as this globe that has been sitting in storage. The most recent addition is the custom Céline pillow which was constructed from a dust bag.... who knew I could be crafty? As I like to put it, my room is quite the hodgepodge of my personality.

But, guess what still is my favorite part? My bed aka Cloud nine. Population: Moi.

A Peek Inside My Room

I have always had a fascination and love for interior design. Over time my room has changed to fit me and my style. Currently, I absolutely love how it looks. I like my room to have a soft, feminine feel but also have quirky details like Polaroids, tons of books, candles, and little odds & ends. Also, check out Pinterest for my latest room inspiration. Let me know if you are interested in seeing more decor posts. (for exact items shown above that you are interested, email me or leave a comment below)

White Beds

I love the look of all white beds. It looks so elegant and crisp . I think they make such a statement. My own bed is all white with touches of lavender. It keeps my room pristine and fresh. Do you prefer a bed with color, or an white bed?

A Wall of Memories

A blank wall is a perfect opportunity to create a gallery wall. A gallery wall is a mix of pictures and frames that give you inspiration, or hold memories to you.

The gallery wall is a great way to let your creativity run wild. There is endless possibilities. You can go all black and white (like above), or mix and match for a quirky feel.

Halloween and Birthdays

Hello All!
With Halloween around the corner and our lovely family friend's daughter's 1st birthday, it was the perfect opportunity to combine the two events! It was so creative and looked like it was right out of a magazine. The fun names of the candy was definitely my favorite! I also loved the chevron pumpkins! ( DIY here) The celebration was planned by Lilly Tangen founder of Twirl Parties ! I had such a fun time and Happy Birthday to little Annabel!

Headboards

I love interesting headboards. I think they make a room look so alive, and fresh. I love how some are classic quilted ones, and others are such unexpected items like old doors, or part of an gold antique gate.

Loving Lucite

Currently, I've been really drawn to Lucite furniture. The Lucite gives an illusion of more space which is key in a smaller room. I love pairing the lucite with  more tradiotnal furtinture. It's unexcepted , and fresh looking. Do you have lucite furniture in your home?
