Colorful Gestures

Aye, some proper apologies are due around this neck of the woods. Excuse my sparse posting from last week- winter break officially kicked in and with Christmas three days away, the festivities kicked in as well.

For keeping warm, as of late, I've been turning to XXL scarfs that cocoon my face. You can forgo the puffer jacket when a thick cashmere scarf is in the picture. Along with this colorful option, a camel cooconer is not only more versatile but also on point with the "whats what" at the moment.

I'll be switching between the two all winter long, but this pop o' purple? 'Tis the day to color! (as the rest of my outfit is monotoned.... baby steps, baby steps)

Black Belt

As I was debating on the vest or coat, I pulled the trigger on perhaps the most karate kid item possible without buying the real deal. Whilst I never mastered the kick or punch, I still received my black belt- kudos to master Mango. This baby pink vest is given a modern update when worn as a top, you know for that taste of je ne sais quoi... (meant in 100% sarcasm). I do suggest ordering a size up because if you're like me, this vest will be a popular layering piece soon enough. Other than my new favorite topper, I've finally rejoined the leather bandwagon after ruining my short-lived pair from Topshop (side-eye to spilled drinks).

Never the less, the karate kids are alright.

Grove Street

In between proper laughs and shooting photos, Gracey, Chloe, and I walked around the always charming West Village. We ventured deep within the village to my favorite street, Grove. The quaint street is lined with ivy covered townhouses (when can I move in?), and has this hidden treasure of a courtyard which you'd never think was in New York City. On the topic of a treasure, when I was in Bergdorf Goodman a few weeks ago, I scored this Hedi Slimane validated bag 50% off- great finds in a great city.

Wearing: Addison x WeWoreWhat romper and crop top, Madewell popover, Vince flats

As much as I want to like overalls, I'm still convinced that I would resemble a three year old from the 90s or a hillbilly. But, I have become a full fledged romper convert.

I like to think that they are appropriate onesies but much more- here comes that word- chic. Despite the fact that they are a complete outfit in one, the amount of versatility is quite impressive. Especially this pair from the Addison x WeWoreWhat collection, having them be in my favorite shade of all; white. The blogger behind the collection, Danielle has nailed overalls, so no surprise on how perfect this little romper is. Knowing me, a striped pullover and neutral flats appear in every outfit and well...  Creature of habit, I digress.

Alas, I plan to venture into overall territory this summer, but until then I am a-ok wearing this romper and many many more.
