Ventures

Wearing: Addison x WeWoreWhat romper and crop top, Madewell popover, Vince flats

As much as I want to like overalls, I'm still convinced that I would resemble a three year old from the 90s or a hillbilly. But, I have become a full fledged romper convert.

I like to think that they are appropriate onesies but much more- here comes that word- chic. Despite the fact that they are a complete outfit in one, the amount of versatility is quite impressive. Especially this pair from the Addison x WeWoreWhat collection, having them be in my favorite shade of all; white. The blogger behind the collection, Danielle has nailed overalls, so no surprise on how perfect this little romper is. Knowing me, a striped pullover and neutral flats appear in every outfit and well...  Creature of habit, I digress.

Alas, I plan to venture into overall territory this summer, but until then I am a-ok wearing this romper and many many more.

Island Daze

Reminiscing about early mornings in my island mindset. Waking up in a morning daze was the perfect counterpart for pajama-like dressing. Each morning (disclaimer: I'm not an early riser), I would love watching the waves roll in Barnes Bay and soak in the balmy island air. Stepping out of my comfort zone with mixing brights was the perfect morning pick-me-up (along with guava smoothies and fresh fruit).

If someone wants to transport me back to island life; greatly appreciated
But this weekend's forecast will do, I suppose. Happy Friday.

Pinstripes + Blush

Madewell skirt, Reformation t-shirt (their new site is so rad), Vince flats, Jules Smith choker

Blush tones, bare legs, and skirts.

Dare I say, Spring is in the air?
As I'm still convinced I'm on island time (all my regards, Anguilla), I have been dressing like it's 60 degrees outside. In my defense, it was warm this weekend yet the weather is more topsy-turny than a carnival ride.

I've been pulling out some favorite blush tone pieces; minimal pieces that are easy to mix in with my wardrobe. The denim skirt also has had a rebirth this Spring and this pinstripe version from Madewell is above all. All of Madewell's new items are amazing and their campaigns are featuring ultra-cool girl, Erin Wasson. Need I say more?

Cricket & Comebacks

French Connection sweater c/o // Zara playsuit (similar) // Clare Vivier clutch // Chanel ballet flats (similar) // Catbird ring // Bauble Bar midi ring // Vintage sunglasses (similar)

Though I don't know much about the game of cricket, I can tell you one thing- they created a great sweater. As a person who used to over wear sweaters (circa 2007-2010), now I tend to only stick to classic sweaters borrowed from my brother's closet. I definitely surprised myself when I picked out this sweater from French Connection. Just like what they say about karma- what goes around comes around. Perhaps it's the same when it comes to clothing.

Instead of pairing the sweater a normal way (in my defense, I never said I was normal),  I wore my favorite playsuit underneath. Easy layering, I must say. Even though I will never play cricket, I will be happily sporting the sweater on the regular. Maybe sweaters are making a comeback in my wardrobe. I'll keep you posted on that.

Equinox

Reformation jeans, Brandy Melville tee, Catbird ring

Happy Friday friends (and second day of Spring) ! Today is my first full day in Anguilla- I can barely contain my excitement of being able to romp around in the sun and sand. With this horrid Winter finally past us, there is hope on the horizon of a blissful Spring. Throwing it back to last weekend, where I spent the day in city savoring the fresh air and shooting with Alexandra. She introduced me to Cafe Nadery, a charming place that I will surely return to.

Return back to my little corner of the inter-web on Monday to see today's outfit and read my ramblings on why I obsessed with white (boyfriend... being fancy, eh?) jeans. In the mean time, keep up with my Anguilla adventures via Instagram.

Vibrance

Current & Elliott jeans, Hermes scarf, Alice & Olivia heels (different color, Isabel Marant x H&M blazer, Chanel bag, Sloane Ranger bracelet c/o, Catbird rings, Monica Vinader bracelet

This past weekend, it was great to feel the warm sunshine on my face and for the temperatures to excel 50*. Winter has felt like a massive black hole of polar vortexes and countless feet of snow. Receiving a small taste of Spring boosted my mood (especially being near the ocean this past weekend). Being able to step outside in a blazer and jeans was the best feeling ever. These boyfriend jeans are the closest my legs have been exposed to air the past four months and I cannot wait to wear them more in the Spring. Along with a simple look of jeans and a blazer, a silk scarf spices things up a little. I am not a big scarf person but I love the un-expected twist of wearing it "western style".  Here is to a vibrant Spring ahead... don't worry, it is coming.

Striped Legs

Wearing: Mango pants, Zara sweater, Comme des Garçons x Converse sneakers, Madewell trench (old, similar), Chanel bag

I am not sure why I am drawn to these pants so much. I wore them all day on Saturday and I was told I resembled a clown, beetlejuice and Robin Thicke- quite a statement pant if I say so myself. Alas my friends, I am not one to jump up and down for printed pants but I have slowly gravitated towards them. Simply put, these pajama trousers has stolen my heart and you know I cannot resist stripes of any kind. Along with my new favorite converse and neutral basics it became the perfect outfit for the weekend.

On another note, did you guys tune into the Oscars last night? I rarely live tweet award shows but I had a blast last night on Twitter. Who do you think was best dressed? Kate, LupitaOlivia, and Emma looked flawless in my opinion. And I cannot not talk about that #epicselfie and pizza party. Be sure to come back tomorrow for a full Oscar recap.

Spring Trends | Clothing Rack

L to R: Spell dress, Alexis crop top, Asos skirt, Brandy Melville top (old), Joes Jeans denim, Paul & Joe Sister dress, Zimmermann silk shorts, Vineyard Vines dress c/o-, Mango trousers, Alexander McQueen scarf, Porter magazine, Zara shoes, Comme des Garçons x Converse sneaks, Stubbs & Wootton loafers c/o

After rearranging my room (I promise, more pictures are coming soon!) I finally had space for a clothing rack. This was completely necessary due to an overflowing closet- which to be honest, spends most of the time on the floor. At one point, I began to hang clothes on lighting fixtures in my room. My new rack has kept me more organized and lets me see what I have actually purchased thus far for Spring. Currently it's a collection of my favorite pieces- whites, pale blues, simple prints, and of course, some stripes. On the bottom are a few favorite shoes and magazines. I cannot wait for this weather to warm up and for my upcoming trip to wear some of these pieces.

Two items in particular I cannot wait to wear are this midi skirt and crop top. They are both statement pieces are their own but when paired together, I think it is a really unique yet cool look. You can also see my affinity for printed bottoms like this denim from Joe's or these silky trousers. Please share with me your favorite trends for Spring or items that you just love in general. And of course, to make it easy- shop all the items below:

NEW IN | ZARA

After looking through the beautiful new Zara campaign for Spring & Summer, I clicked on over to the site. Oh Zara... you knock it out of the park every season. I've been on the hunt for a pair of cutout heels and these beauties exceeded my expectations. In all honesty, I feel silly buying open-toed heels during the snowiest month, but I will never skip a great deal from Zara. Expect to see these a lot from now on. I highly suggest checking out the other new shoes- these are next on my hit list.

Right On Track

Wearing: Asos sweater, Club Monaco leggings, Nike sneaks, Equipment blouse, Lora Piana scarf

This past weekend, Mother Nature proved she didn't hate us and brought us a dose of sunshine. Then bam, it's snowing today. Alas, this past weekend gave us a little hope that Spring is on track towards us. On the topic of on track, these Nike kicks have stolen my heart. With my personal style being much more simple nowadays, I am thrilled that sporty style is not going anywhere.

A couple of changes have been happening in my corner of the inter-web. Sometime today, I will be switching my domain over to a .com- My current url will redirect, so you will not be missing any posts! Follow me on twitter for updates regarding the switch.
