Denim Street

Like every other freezing soul in the Northern Hemisphere, I'm looking forward to Spring- which seems light years on light years away. Last Spring, I purchased these jeans from high street royalty, Queen Z(ara). From wear and tear (and trips n splits here and there), the holes have grown three sizes.  These pair are my usual weekend culprit. But what else is new?  Paul Simon had the right idea about jeans way back when... "holes in the knees of my jeans".

Lost?
Denim street this way. -->

Snakeskin Slits

Wearing: Evil Twin pants, Urban Outfitters sweater (last worn here),
Pour La Victoire heels (old, similar here), Hermes bracelet (check out the Real Real!), Chanel bag

Ripped jeans' good girl sister has surfaced. Clean cut slits at the knees calls for onlookers double-checking to see if you purposely sliced your jeans or nah, but hey all is good. Continuing with the clean-cut momentum with the help black pointy toes, and a gray knit.

Red Handed

Starting this Monday with a bang and my new favorite color, cherry red. When Fall rolls around... uh, today, my wardrobes simplifies to a handful of curated pieces.

You caught me (red-handed). #punnyfunny

This sweater? Impulse buy from that cunning little Spaniard- go back to Friday to catch my drift. An oversized knit paired with light wash denim and a ladylike pump is should I say, the ideal juxtaposition for September sartorial selection aka "the tedious task of getting dressed in the wee hours of the morning"

But back to that nonsense of curated pieces. It isn't a complete white lie, folks!! This weekend I lived in 6 pieces: two jeans, one stripe, one sweater (25% off), one sneaker, and one slide-on. Mind you, my weekend consisted of Netflix and homework... party hard?

I plan to break out my cherry red jumper once again, fluffiness, color and all next weekend.

Chambray Story

I've already confessed my love for rompers, so I'm going to save you out of despair, and instead share another favorite, chambray aka denim. I know you love it...

I used to stray away from denim on denim, but I know it has become a staple in the file: easiest outfits. On that fact, this chambray (denim-same thing) romper with a scarf is my non-conventional twist on the Canadian tux. Plus, for a person who was never a fan of scarves- it was a short-lived phase that went down hill very fast- this chambray sale score is slowly opening the scarf door once again, this time around less tassels and pizazz. Chambray cowboy for the win.

Don't be afraid to double up that denim. Even though the fabric is a classic, it can decay fast: #PROOF.

Bless Addison for creating the effortless chambray outfit in one that will be worn way too much for this summer by yours truly, of course.

Schoolboy Off Duty

Wearing: Madewell button down, Levis vintage shorts (similar, similar), Lanvin loafers (similar)

Reverting back to updated basics of denim and (snakeskin) loafers.
What were you excepting here? Last week's girly duds?

My apologies for disappointing you.

Instead, I'm here in one of my easiest sartorial formula of white and denim when I'm in the mood for a classic combo. And no less, dressing like an old school schoolboy, erm off duty? Hence the comfiest cutoffs and softest button down is the ideal frame for these sick snakeskin shoes from my favorite Frenchie of all, LanvinAs someone said, it's all in the details- like the eyelet collar and the tassels on the shoes. Oh my, I'm such a sucker for the details.

Alas, back to my tomboyish duds. Quite ironic considering it's summertime and I'm dressing like a school kid. Perhaps, I need to back to school already.

Good one, there.

Sorry not sorry, oceanside is my classroom of choice. Or in this case, #stoopside. I've been spending too much time in the city (case in point- my instagram feed).

Plenty of rambling for today. Happy Monday!

Denim Daze

Now in all honesty, I am very picky about denim. I tend to wear certain brands more than other or certain styles. Lately, I've been wearing boyfriend jeans much more especially when paired with feminine pieces. Every girl should own three pairs of jeans; skinny, white, and boyfriend. These three  are all different but extremely versatile now matter what your style is. Despite what some say, white jeans can be worn all year round. I am sharing some of my favorite denim styles today in three washes, plus my favorite three styles. Shop it all below:
