The Great View

Wearing: Alexis top, J.Crew skirt, Belle by Sigerson Morrison sandals, Saint Laurent bag

I was feeling generous and decided to give you all another healthy helping of good old New York City in what other than black and white. Quite a fine one she is, don't you agree? Or I might just be downright obsessed with these photos.

On the other end, as you are reading this I am in the complete opposite end of the concrete jungle spectrum. You guessed it.

The ocean blue.

Time to set sail to Buzzards Bay for the 2014 Vineyard Race. A sunrise/moonrise instagram will be coming your way soon enough. 'Laters gators.

Always Return

Wearing: Maje dress (sold out, similar here, here,), Belle by Sigerson Morrison shoes (old, similar)

Back to my dearly loved stripes.

Even after my frolics with florals- still love 'em- stripes are hands down my number one. My current favorite- the pinstripe- takes this shirtdress to another level of menswear done well.

I digress, I failed to sport this red white and blue number over the holiday weekend, but as I've been told my family and friends, I'm quite the Americana chick. So, I've come to the conclusion that I'm a walking flag a majority of the time- often lacking red (hey! blue & white are the only two colors I wear!)

Seeking Overalls

Wearing: Levis overalls, Alexis top, Belle by Sigerson Morrison shoes (old, similar), Jules Smith choker, Brandy Melville ring, Ray-Ban sunglasses

Remember way back when I was on the road of the overall-esque romper which eventually turned into a path of seeking, dare I say, overalls? Oh yes, we have arrived in a land where a farmer's favorite attire is stylish.
I'm praying I don't look like a farmer.

Since I took the road down to overall-world, I might as well give it a good whirl. To avoid looking like two things- a) an young child or b) a hillbilly; a modern crop top, sandals, and by dear God a Chanel hopefully helped me avoid going into that territory. Which by all means should remained uncharted, if that wasn't clear already.

For a person like me who likes to take the "trend less" route of personal sartorial ways, these overalls forced me to step up my game and out of my comfort zone.

Alas, I'm crossing my fingers it worked. In all honesty, overalls are sorta rad.

Backless Playsuit

Motel playsuit | Persifor clutch | Sigerson Morrison sandals (similar, similar

I have been drawn to everything backless as of late. During my holiday shopping, I found this Motel  playsuit with cutout detailing and an open back. The color of it is perfect as well- a mix of cobalt and purple. It's been a great coverup for beach days and an easy outfit for dinner. On a quick note- I would love to know what you would like to see on the blog this year. Shop the look below:

Exploring St.Tropez

Subtle Luxury Tunic dress c/o // Belle by Sigerson Morrison sandals // Shopbop tote // Hermes Bangle // Sequin Bangle c/o // Julie Vos bangles c/o

The amazing part of traveling is experiencing things and places that you wouldn't normally. Another bonus is when you travel to a place that is absolutely stunning. On our last day in St.Tropez, we went into the main town. Every little stairway, home or side street is covered in blooming flowers and overgrown ivy. The beach is scattered with striped umbrellas and bronzed people, and the harbor is filled with boats of all sizes; from colorful wooden boats to magnificent yachts that are on their way to the beaches. To put it simply, it was amazing.

Breeze

Brandy Melville sweater (old) // Joie shorts (last worn here) // Belle by Sigerson Morrison sandals
// Celine bag // Sequin bangles c/o // Urban sunnies

In the Northeast it has been hot recently, so when Monday rolled around with 60-70s and blue skies, I was thrilled. Back in June, I mentioned how silk shorts are the perfect summer item for a simple, breezy look, and here I am wearing these super cute Joie shorts. Earlier in the day, I paired the shorts and sweater with kicks and minimal jewelry for a relaxed look. For night, I fancied up the look with some sparkle and pretty sandals. As I said before- favorite summer outfit. Btw- I will be back tomorrow with another travel post. Hope you are enjoying them- to see the past two, head here!

Light As A Feather

Feel the Piece Sweater // Zara Skort // Belle by Sigerson Morrison Sandals // Persifor Clutch //
// Design Darling Phone Case // U.O. Sunglasses // Essie "Mint Candy Apple"

Considering how h-o-t it has been, you are probably wondering; how in the world am I wearing a sweater?! I bought this ridiculously light cashmere sweater back in the winter and wore it a ton under layers. It's tissue thin and feels as if you are wearing nothing more than a tank. It's also great for popping in and out of air conditioning all day long. Hope you have a great weekend!

p.s. I keep forgetting to say, I'm finally on Instagram! It's @sailingseastyle
