My style is evolving and it's heading into a more minimalistic approach. Even though I love color (trust me I do), neutrals are key bases of a great wardrobe. Some of these great pieces are on sale like this Stella sweater - amazing deal and I can't imagine how cozy it is. My everyday jewelry is much more simple as well- a mix of dainty bracelets and rings. Sloane Ranger sent me a few bracelets (like this one) to mix into my everyday stack. They are offering 15% off all jewelry to my readers with the code SAILINGSEA15 until the 20th of January. Shop the post below:

Beach | Mountain
and to the slopes...
If you are taking a trip this holiday, most of time you are either going to the beach or the slopes. I'm also guessing that you are picking up a few items for your upcoming trip and I'm here to help. I've put together some essentials for each destination. Puffer jackets and cozy knits for the slopes and pastels and metallics for the beach. Check out the travel section of my blog for more travel tips. I would love to know if you are heading anywhere soon!

Cozy Flair
I might or might not be obsessed with these boots. Honestly, you feel super cool when you wear them. Never would I think I would be wearing over-the-knee boots, but here I am. They are much easier to style and pull off than you think. An oversized cashmere sweater adds coziness to the rest of the look, which makes it more my style. I kinda also love this look that Blake Lively wore in Lucky Magazine. I am thinking about putting my own spin on it, while sporting my babies. I would love to know your thoughts over-the-knee boots- share down below.

Florals + Stripes
Vince T-Shirt (old) // Zara Skirt (in store) // Urban Outfitters Blazer (last worn here) // Pour La Victoire Heels (old) // Loeffler Randall Bag // Bauble Bar Necklace // Marc by Marc Jacobs Sunglasses
// Hermes Bracelet //
As a huge fan to stripes- they are a basic in my wardrobe, I went ahead and paired them with a bolder print; florals. The most important thing about mixing prints is to keep the look cohesive and in the same color palette. For this look, it was blue. I topped my outfit with a white blazer and neutral shoes and bag. To keep it playful, I decided to wear a pink and gold statement necklace to tie the whole outfit together. Let me know, if you like to mix prints?

Whites/Knits
Equipment Shirt- almost the same // NSF Sweater (old) // Jack Rodger Sandals- last seen here // Loeffler Randall Bag // Urban Outfitters Sunglasses // Julie Vos Bracelets c/o
Earlier in the week before this insane heat wave came, I was wearing this shirt(dress) like crazy. It's technically not a dress...I was in Intermix and I grabbed the wrong size for this Equipment shirt and it just worked as a dress! I paired it with a NSF sweater, that I wore religiously last Summer; might be doing the same this Summer! The outfit is mostly neutrals but I love the mix of fabrics and texture, plus the pop of metallic.
On other news, today is my last day of school! #woohoo I am so excited for an amazing Summer ahead! To kick off the season, I am hosting a giveaway with HIHO- enter here!

From the Weekend
Urban Oufitters Blazer (old) // Current/Elliott Jeans // Splendid Tee // Loeffler Randall Bag // Jack Rodger Sandals // Bauble Bar and Madewell Rings // Ray Ban Sunglasses
It's quite funny how sometimes you just don't wear certain pieces of clothes. This month, I haven't been wearing jeans a ton. Except this past weekend, it was pretty much all I wore. On Saturday, I went for a simple look that I love to wear; jeans, tee, and blazer. There are so many different styles that these items come in (edgy,chic,classic...). For me, I tend to stay in the more classic/chic range. A summery color palette was necessary, along with some of my favorite neutral accessories. I wore a bright Splendid tee, that is insanely soft! Distressed jeans add instant edge to any look. I topped the look with a crisp, white blazer to make the weekend look more streamlined. The blazer was such a good deal and I definitely need to get more wear out of it! See below for more easy jeans/tee/blazer picks!

I love weekends that are filled with fun times, and activities.Yesterday, I went into the city for brunch with Katie. We ate at Sullivan's Bistro in Greenwich Village- the pancakes are yummy! Afterward, I walked around a little bit with my dad. I love the city when it's nice weather. If I will be walking around, and need an easy outfit, I always go with silk shorts or pants and a button down blouse. The combination is low maintenance and chic. I am also breaking in my new Jack Rogers, I always get a pair each year and by the end of Summer, they are completely and utterly dead and worn. Today, I went big boat sailing with my dad and a couple of family friends. It was the perfect end to the weekend.

Spring Fling
Parker Dress (love this one) // Club Monaco Jacket // Loeffler Randall Rider Bag // Marc by Marc Jacobs Sunglasses (old) // Pour La Victoire Heels // Michael Kors watch // Essie "Flirt"
During the Spring, there is nothing I love more than to wear a silky, printed dress with a structured jacket. This beautiful Parker dress was a Christmas present from my brother, that has been in my closet. I love the print, it reminds me of watercolor paintings. I paired the dress with two updated classic pieces; a tweed jacket and a neutral bag. This Club Monaco jacket (which I scored on an amazing sale) is the perfect Spring outer piece. The bright color is super wearable and you can also layer the jacket during the colder months.
I have been coveting Loeffler Randall purses! I have been saving my pennies for the Rider bag and last week I went ahead and splurged on it! Seriously, I'm in love! It's the ideal size and the neutral color works all year round. Hope you all have had a good weekend!

Black & White
I honestly don't consider black and white a trend. I consider it a classic. Every single season it comes back in different and fresh ways. A couple of years ago it was much more ladylike, while this year it's more graphic and bold. Stripes and color block have updated the combo. You can still mix in timeless elements like big sunnies, and a sharp white manicure.
