She's A Lady

Surprise, surprise... something look a little different?

A little throwback from this post, I revealed my secret love for all things Madewell- especially this paisley blue dress. Slightly on the longer side, it gives a honorable mention to the return to all things ladylike business that worked the runway for fall. Another thing that is new to moi, is a drop-waist number- channeling my inner #frenchie summering down south? The ideal spin of the perfect modern day prairie dress. Oh, indeed.

I wouldn't get used to this dressing up affair, sporting ladylike duds on the regular isn't something I'm preparing to deal with after a months of sailing gear.

After all, luck be lady.

Code Red

There has been many red undertones in my sartorial game as of late. Breaking the myth of redheads cannot wear the fiery shade, but in my case I prefer a more muted terra cotta kinda red. Case in point: this Lou & Grey skirt. Picked up in this washed out red shade and a classic black, it is much welcomed change from silky separates or a pair of denim shorties. Plus it is an ode to the Western inspired front of fashion when paired with a denim button down and booties. Or if you're like yours truly, stripes are the way to go.... upping your patriotic game is a big fat check in my book.

Time to call for a code red.

Central Park

Since I was off on Monday, I keep thinking it's Friday today. Ermm... one day off. I'm in the midst of finishing the whirlwind of exams and then it's sweet summertime for this one. About time.

Last weekend, I rediscovered the beauty of Central Park. I've forgotten how beautiful it is- especially in May. Quite quintessentially Eloise. The explosion of greenery is incredible considering the mounds of snow a mere few months ago. Alexandra captured the dreamy vibes of the park perfectly. I'd never think I would have dreamy and New York City in the same sentence, alas it's the truth.

Making a mental note to myself to explore the city more- any areas that you love in particular? Do share.

Happy (almost) weekend.

Illusions

Nope, no magic happening here except from my dear lovers at Zara. Back at it sporting another dress- this time with a shirt? Hmm... your eyes are fooling you! Is it a shirt around my waist or not? The illusion of dressing at its finest state.

This shirtdress (literally) has rescued my causal wardrobe from the doom days. I don't often sport dresses as everyday attire, but my sartorial ways are changing. Once the weather heats up, dresses save much effort into what should be the easiest part of my day. All this simplistic dressing leaves more time to explore the world- like summertime in Central Park.
