Garden Party II

Wearing: Reformation dress- similar, Urban Outfitters chambray, Joie sandals, Madewell shades, Wanderlust & Co. bracelets, Luv Aj hand chain, Saint Laurent bag

In a weak effort to curb my excessive (garden) partying with the influence of Reformation and Zara, my failed attempt were as proven by both my poor wallet and closet. After this playsuit antic pulled back in June, I've fallen of the floral bandwagon once again. Nothing better than a floral dress in the summer heat.

Of course, dresses are something that I normally avoid like the plague if the suggested attire is not "formal". Also putting into consideration that all I've worn this summer is sailing gear and my respected plethora of rompers, denim, and such.... I have a few guidelines when it comes to sporting dresses- like that chambray around the waist. Makeshift belt and a savior regarding mechanical wind chills aka AC.

So help a girl out and let her have one last hoorah in florals.

Back in Benz

Wearing: Chris Benz jacket (old, similar here), Asos dress, Tory Burch wedges, Bauble Bar ring, Jules Smith choker & Asha by Adm charm

In the midst of an extensive closet clean-out, my mom came across this Chris Benz jacket from 2009  (fun fact, I actually met the designer around the same time). Back then, I used to sport the jacket with pajamas while playing in my mom's closet. My sartorial manner began quite early.

The faded mint color and militaristic details makes this jacket a new favorite. I'm still a massive fan of the designer- his innovative eye always stands out each and every season. Teamed up with lacy espadrilles (ya know to make up for the lacking femininity) and my tried and true lbd- the jacket stands out. Not to mention my make shift hardware of this choker and an Asha by Adm charm, creates a somewhat brand new piece.

Old treasures become new favorites.... or something along the lines of that. You get my drift.

Limestone

Wearing: Reformation dress, Joie sandals, Oliver Peoples sunglasses c/o Seaside Luxe

Despite the unpredictable weather, my closet has made a full transition to Spring (or what is left of it). Lately, this Reformation dress has been quite the star standout. As you guys can tell, I am big fan of their pieces and this dress is no different. I'm quite shocked on how much wear its been getting, varying from Easter to a few days ago when paired with a denim shirt. Due to the semi-permanent arctic blast wearing a dress this past weekend without a jacket was dare I say, liberating. Alas, all my regards to Reformation for creating the perfect dress. I'll be back to find a runner up.
