Style List | All I Want For Christmas
It's less than ten days to the most wonderful day of the year and I, a wannabe Griswold, self-proclaimed Christmas expert, have completed my gift shopping. And no, they're was no exquisite wrapping like Love Actually or matching doves from Home Alone.... C'mon how many times must I reference holiday movies in a week? But instead, I completed a used to-be-tedious task thanks to easy online shopping, plus a few trips to some of my favorite city stores.
So in the spirit of Mariah's- preferably lip-synced- song, this is all I want for Christmas (take note, family, friends, secret santa or admirer...)
If you still haven't checked everyone off your list, Shopbop is having a sale and Bergdorf Goodman has free two-day shipping to get your presents at your doorstep in time for Christmas. And if you haven't already, head over to Sailor's Holiday Shop to find the perfect piece for that one friend who is extremely picky. We all have them.

'Tis the Season
Oh, oh, oh, ode to joy.
Before I begin another Christmas story, may we begin with declaring how Town & Country- esque, Reid- my brother, if you are new around here- and yours truly look. As I've learned, there are four vital characteristics of looking like you stepped out of a holiday shoot OR a Ralph Lauren ad, if ya know, are attending a black tie ball this evening or apres-skiing somewhere out West.
Now, these characteristics you might ask. Perhaps the most important yet underrated one of all, a dog. Yes, a living, breathing, hyper d-o-g. After all, it is a doggy dog world, and we're all just living in it. To go along with your four-legged friend, running. Not Usain Bolt, sprinting a mile a minute running, but a more nonchalantly casual jog in the great outdoors "run". Your hair should also be blowing in the wind, and smile. Please, you do not want to see outtakes from this post. Onto numero 3, you might ask, where are we running with a dog? The great outdoors, I answer. Preferably with snow on the ground and whilst it is snowing. Because you must look like you live in a snow globe on a regular basis. To round out the list, the clothes. It always comes back to the clothes. And what isn't more festive than matching plaid, boots, and Barbour?
Under the tree this year? Vineyard Vines sweaters, loungewear, and shep shirts. Trust me, those will become your most worn pieces from December 24th-31st. Then, we go to Nike... uh, for a day.
'Tis the season to living a Christmas ready life all day, everyday.
I will spare you a story today, but you know where to find me whenever you would like a jolly good tale of Christmas past.

Wearing: Zara coat- size down, Madewell scarf- on sale, Mother jeans (last worn here), Asos button down, Zara boots, Larsson & Jennings watch (sold out, shop all watches here), Ray-Ban shades
As the Northeast gets whacked with another storm this week- which means snow- I feel like it is socially-acceptable to finally bust out the holiday tunes, let your Clark Griswold-esque holiday freak flag fly AND be "the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse... that Santa has ever seen".
Whatever floats your boat.
As my calendar quickly fills up with holiday events... and, um, er, finals.... I'm all about holiday dressing that is easy and doesn't make me look like a Christmas tree. Instead you can find me in whole lotta blackwatch, velvet, cashmere, and wool coats; one at a time or all at once. Now, I've teamed up with my favorite babes.... Caroline, Frannie, Sammy, and Gracey to bring you a #dwcxmas- follow on Insta for more. Be sure to hop and skip on over to each blog for their own take on holiday dressing.
That is all for now. This self-proclaimed holiday fanatic has some studying to do.
AS ALWAYS... THE PARTY TRAIN JUST KEEPS ON GOING AND GOING AND GOING...

{from my Instagram}
As mentioned in my last post, the giving would be beginning a little bit on the early side around here.
#SantaSailor is here.
One of you lucky ducks will be winning a 2015 planner from Graphic Image!
It took me about two years to get into the whole "planner" world, but now I'm never leaving. After dabbling in several different brands, I always return back to Graphic Image. They are organized, sleek and perfect for the girl who can't keep her day to day life in order (you guessed it, me).
Enter below to win a personalized one of your choice.
Good luck and merry merry!

Gift Guide: Under $50
C.Wonder tray {$38}, Kate Moss book {$40}, Gorjana earrings {$40}, Kate Spade notebook {$14}, Rifle Paper Co. stationary {$21}, ban.do bobby pins {$10}, Causal 200 socks {$14}, Jonathan Adler matches holder {$42}, Dinner Diaries book {$50}, Karl & Anna iPhone case {$24}
As we have 23 days to Christmas, the official holiday craziness has begun.
Today's gift guide might just be my personal favorite. Like my past two gift guides, all items can be found from a specific retailer. This week's lucky ducky? Shopbop.
I'm obsessed with the Kate Moss book, and the most stylish best friends iPhone case... I mean, c'mon who wouldn't want that? Most of the time when it comes to under $50 gift ideas, you'll just see a whole bunch of candles- did I walk into a Yankee Candles? yeah, no- and random nondescript stocking stuffers. This budget-friendly batch works for the hostess, a stocking stuffer for your sister, and let's get real here, yourself.
As I'm all about spreading some l'esprit de Noël (!!!), some giveaways are coming your way that will make jolly ole' St.Nick jealous.

Happy Thanksgiving
outtakes from this post...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
AKA a family infused, food coma, bad jokes, kinda day.
I've already discussed the importance of the outfit, but to your favor here's a SparkNotes version:
Avoid anything tight, unless you are juice cleansing this Thanksgiving. If so, that's another problem on our hands. Keep it family friendly- dominatrix inspired duds or a lacy slip isn't exactly G-ma approved. Camp socks are my holiday essential- works with converse when outside and when when you're snug as a bug inside.
Onward and upward- tunes.
Before everyone is glued to the TV with 'Murica's #1, er, football break out some of the best tunes. And please for your own sanity don't bust out the holiday jingles just yet. Please. My suggestion? Stick with the classics- Elton John, Billy Joel, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Simon & Garfunkel. Mix in a few up and coming singers like George Ezra and The Kooks. And when you're at it, Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett's new album is a no-fail choice this holiday season.
A heated game of Clue or Apples to Apples avoids awkward conversation, plus involves little movement post eating. And for your pure enjoyment, here are some knee-slapper jokes. Round out the night with a comical movie or a musical- The Sound of Music, everyone?
Wishing you a lovely holiday with a note to you from yours truly. x

Back with another round of gift ideas.

And you guys hit the jackpot since top picks are 20% off YOURGIFT.
