Bandana Blue

Wearing: Joe's jeans , J.Crew shirt, Asos shoes, Oliver Peoples sunglasses c/o Seaside Luxe,

Bandana blue, yep. It has been flying around the fashion world this season ever since the color (and print) walked the runway back in September. As we know, my sartorial ways of dressing involves two colors; white and blue and menswear pieces. An over-sized oxford is my superstar of casual dressing- works from beach days to city nights and everything in between. Borrow it from your boyfriend or in my case, buy it a few sizes up . These Joe's Jeans have worn been plenty already, like here with more blue. So predictable, I am. That's what I call a uniform.

Spring Trends | Clothing Rack

L to R: Spell dress, Alexis crop top, Asos skirt, Brandy Melville top (old), Joes Jeans denim, Paul & Joe Sister dress, Zimmermann silk shorts, Vineyard Vines dress c/o-, Mango trousers, Alexander McQueen scarf, Porter magazine, Zara shoes, Comme des Garçons x Converse sneaks, Stubbs & Wootton loafers c/o

After rearranging my room (I promise, more pictures are coming soon!) I finally had space for a clothing rack. This was completely necessary due to an overflowing closet- which to be honest, spends most of the time on the floor. At one point, I began to hang clothes on lighting fixtures in my room. My new rack has kept me more organized and lets me see what I have actually purchased thus far for Spring. Currently it's a collection of my favorite pieces- whites, pale blues, simple prints, and of course, some stripes. On the bottom are a few favorite shoes and magazines. I cannot wait for this weather to warm up and for my upcoming trip to wear some of these pieces.

Two items in particular I cannot wait to wear are this midi skirt and crop top. They are both statement pieces are their own but when paired together, I think it is a really unique yet cool look. You can also see my affinity for printed bottoms like this denim from Joe's or these silky trousers. Please share with me your favorite trends for Spring or items that you just love in general. And of course, to make it easy- shop all the items below:

Sailing in Florida | Insta-Snaps

waiting for wind // one of the best sunsets ever // post-storm skies // current essentials- coconut water & frends headphones // plane window view of sunny Florida // after sailing view // travel days (obsessed with kind bars) // clear sunset // favorite printed pants via Joe's Jeans

As most of you know, I was in Clearwater Beach, Florida for a sailing regatta. Despite not ideal sailing conditions (killer fog and no wind), it was very nice to escape the cold and welcome some much needed sunshine. I also could not wait to get back on my Laser after this long winter. As always, here is a recap of my quick trip. There was some breathtaking sunsets each night even after afternoon storms- the second photo is my favorite. Along with my travel essentials- which include Frends headphones, Zico coconut water (the chocolate flavor is amazing), and Kind bars. If you aren't following me on Instagram- it's @sailingseastyle. I recently hit 1,000 followers; thank you for all your awesome support, it means the world to me!

Surfer Chic

Joe's Jeans (last worn here) // Free People Top- it's on sale! // Tkees Sandals // Ray-Ban Sunglasses
// Vanessa Mooney Finger Chain // Unknown Bracelet

I love "surfer style" a lot. Perfect beachy hair, boho chic style... it's effortless in the most glam way possible. Because I am (A) not a surfer (B) don't live in California or Hawaii, I tend to achieve surfer style through awesome items of clothing, like these printed jeans. The fun tie-dye print reminds me of clear sparkling water and sunsets in Maui. What can get better than that?! This finger chain is my new favorite piece of jewelry. It's very dainty but still makes an impact on the outfit.

Tropical Snakeskin

Joe's Jeans The Skinny Jean // Urban Outfitters T-Shirt // Missoni Espadrilles (scored on Gilt!)
// Ray-Ban Sunglasses // Clare Viver Clutch (similar) // Bracelets: Bauble Bar // Calypso St.Barth (old)

I have a thing for printed jeans.  These pair from Joe's Jeans are so unique. The print is almost like snakeskin, but at the same time it has the effect of  tie-dye. They are also super flattering which is important with prints. A pair can look amazing on someone tall but on someone more petite, the print can overwhelm them. The fit is perfect, and they are on trend but not too much. Joe's Jeans also come in so many different prints! You also may have noticed, another Clare Viver bag! Let me tell you, I am obsessed ! For someone who doesn't carry around tons of stuff, they are ideal. I love the striped ones, seen here and here. But, this white snakeskin one is super chic. I'll be adding a million more printed pants into my closet for Spring. Look below to see some more printed pairs!

Mad for Plaid

During the holidays,  it's the best time to pull out the classic plaid pieces. Plaid looks preppy, and in my opinion, it can make any look 100 times better. The festive print can be dressed up with a sequined skirt, or dressed down with boyfriend jeans and smoking slippers (like these) I love how Sarah from Classy Girls Wear Pearls wears her plaid. Perfectly preppy!

Keep on Sailing,
Sloane
