Hey! Sorry I've been a tad MIA as of late. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. I mentioned in this post that I am currently enjoying the sunshine in St.Barths. I can't wait to share more of that with you tomorrow but if you can't wait, head over to Instagram for quicker updates. I'd thought I would share a little recap of 2013. I chose one picture from each month that I feel represents my personal style this year. Hope you enjoy this little trip down memory lane.

It's crazy to see how much you have changed in twelve months. I have learned so much over the course of 2013 and experienced things I've couldn't do without blogging. I am so incredibly thankful for each moment of 2013. I have new skills and wisdom that I will take with me for years to come. I can't wait to start 2014 with a fresh mindset and new goals. Here is to a great 2014. Thank you for all your endless support. XO

How many of us have seen that killer bag or shoe and instantly decide that it must be in your closet straight away? Beach | Mountain

and to the slopes...

If you are taking a trip this holiday, most of time you are either going to the beach or the slopes. I'm also guessing that you are picking up a few items for your upcoming trip and I'm here to help. Recently, I've mentioned how I am wearing a lot of black and this is a perfect example. I split up the dark color with some navy- who says the two don't go together?! I kept the main items black but ballet flats (Tieks are the best) and a t-shirt break up the outfit. This is also a perfect outfit for holiday traveling. Would you like a post on traveling style? I love snow- correction, I love freshly fallen snow. After it gets all muddy and gross, let it rain or someone please magically transport me to a warmer climate. The backyard looked so pretty with just layers of white and tons of birds in the trees. These Sperry boots (this year's version) are my favorite thing to wear on snow days but whilst inside I never take off these J.Crew socks.

Over the past couple of months, I've noticed how I have been wearing a lot more black. Last year, I rarely gravitated towards the color, but now it's a main player in my wardrobe. Because of the amount of black I've been wearing- mostly due to these boots- I found a no fail outfit (flippy dress, black boots, coat or blazer) that is perfect for when you want to look polished but don't want to put a lot of effort into your look.  It's simple but it can work for many different occasions and can be tweaked. I cannot wait to wear this Mara Hoffman dress in St.Barts over Christmas break. It's  perfect to wear all year long from sand to snow and snow to sand.

I decided to keep today's post short and sweet. I am incredibly thankful for everything I have in my life. There are too many things I'm thankful for but here are a few: family, friends, education, freedom, traveling and of course, my readers! You guys keep this blog going and encourage me to work harder. This week is my favorite week ever. It's totally okay to start playing Christmas music, eat all the food that you want, and enjoy the beginning of the holiday festivities. On the other hand, it is becoming very cold, hence the tights I'm sporting in today's post. (they're fleece lined) I don't mind the cold that much because it just means cozy layers galore. This outfit has become a favorite of mine; high neck top and a printed skirt. It is a little dressy but still is easy and comfortable. Shop similar options of my favorite pieces below. Longer Layers

 The November chill has officially arrived in the Northeast. I'm wearing thicker socks and warmer layers these days. Even though I've lived in New England my whole life the first cold days of the Fall/Winter season always get to me. This Calypso St.Barth tunic was one of my favorite pieces all last year. The festive print can be dressed up with great heels and black tights and can be worn casually like above.
